Jorge Chavez International Airport and Peru once again compete for South America’s top tourism awards.

  • Jorge Chavez International Airport and Peru have been nominated in prestigious categories at the World Travel Awards South America 2026. The public can now cast their votes and support the country on this important international stage. 

Peru is once again capturing the world’s attention. Jorge Chavez International Airport, together with some of the country’s leading tourism landmarks, has been nominated for the World Travel Awards South America 2026, considered the most prestigious awards in the global travel and tourism industry.

In this edition, Jorge Chavez International Airport is competing in the South America’s Leading Airport category, while Costa del Sol Wyndham Lima Airport is nominated for South America’s Leading Airport Hotel and The Club LIM for South America’s Leading Airport Lounge. These recognitions highlight the quality of the airport experience and the commitment to connecting Peru with the world under international standards.

More than a new air terminal, Jorge Chavez International Airport has become a showcase for Peru to millions of travelers. Through its renewed commercial, gastronomic, and service offering, the airport seeks to deliver an experience that reflects the country’s identity and cultural richness from the very first moment. National brands, spaces inspired by Peru’s diversity, and a wide variety of Peruvian cuisine are all part of an experience designed so that every passenger can experience Peru even before departure or upon arrival in the country.

The recognition also extends to Peru as a tourist destination. Machu Picchu was selected in the South America’s Leading Tourist Attraction category, while Peru is competing as South America’s Leading Cultural Destination and South America’s Leading Culinary Destination, distinctions that reflect the historical, cultural, and gastronomic richness positioning the country as one of the continent’s most admired destinations.

Voting is open to the public and can be completed through the official World Travel Awards website: www.worldtravelawards.com/vote

1. Register on the website and verify the email address used.

2. Go to "South America" and select "Leading Airport"

3. From there, you can vote for Jorge Chavez International Airport.
