In relation to the maintenance work on the runway at Jorge Chávez International Airport, which was suspended due to the mandatory isolation, Lima Airport Partners (LAP) informs the public the following:
- Maintenance work on the runway will be resumed from April 28 to July 1 as it represents a necessary activity for the operation at the airport and in compliance with the Document 1629-2020-MTC/1 issued by the Ministry of Transport and Communications.
- It should be noted that the maintenance of the runway is an important activity that belongs to the air logistics chain related to the service of cargo and merchandise transport at the airport, which is extremely necessary in this context of National Emergency. In this regard, it is necessary to reschedule the work in order to maintain the operational safety of the aircraft during landing, taxiing and take-off.
- Likewise, in strict compliance with the health provisions and measures laid down by the Peruvian Government, and in the interests of safeguarding the well-being of all personnel in charge of maintenance tasks, the necessary occupational health and safety protocols will be provided.
