- Starting today, Sunday, March 22, Jorge Chávez International Airport will be closed. There will be no commercial flights and airport operations will stop during the isolation period. Only cargo flights will continue to operate normally.
- The public should refrain from trying to gain access to the terminal. For flight rescheduling, please contact the airlines through their website or digital channels.
- Starting today, all flights will be scheduled by the authorities and carried out by Group 8 of the Peruvian Air Force.
- Since the declaration of National Emergency, LAP has served more than 9,000 passengers in 96 flights in a joint effort with the relevant Ministries, Indeci, the Peruvian National Police, the Peruvian Armed Forces, the Peruvian immigration authority, EsSalud, the airlines, and the airport community.
The country faces an unprecedented health crisis and national wellbeing should be Peru’s first priority. LAP calls on the nation to rigorously comply with the mandatory quarantine in order to stop the expansion of COVID-19.
