October 2, 2023-Airport Dimensions, a part of the Collison Group, who is the owner of the successful passenger loyalty programs Priority Pass and Lounge Key, was chosen by Lima Airport Partners to manage the upcoming VIP lounges at the new Jorge Chávez International Airport.

Airport Dimensions, a part of the Collison Group and the owner of the successful passenger loyalty programs Priority Pass and Lounge Key, was chosen by Lima Airport Partners to manage the upcoming VIP lounges at the new Jorge Chávez International Airport.

The contract awarded encompasses the management of four modern VIP lounges within a total area of 5,500 m2, enhancing the experience for the thousands of tourists, corporate travelers, and both Peruvian and international visitors who use this service. Airport Dimensions is a leading brand that has consistently demonstrated substantial global growth, with a track record of excellence in projects at airports like Dubai, San Francisco, Boston, Hong Kong and the United Kingdom, being honored with awards like the World Leading Airport Lounge in 2022 by the World Travel Awards.

“We are delighted to be chosen by Lima Airport Partners to conceptualize, design, manage and build the four upcoming VIP lounges at the new Jorge Chávez International Airport. This provides an opportunity to create a new era for airport lounges in Latin America", said Chris Gwilliam, SVP Global Business Development at Airport Dimensions. The exclusive lounges will be strategically located to cater to a wide range of passengers. Two will serve from the international departure areas, one in the domestic departures, and another for transit passengers.

“We from Lima Airport Partners are pleased that Airport Dimensions, a company of the Collinson group, is our partner for the development and operations of the commercial lounge services at New Lima Airport. Airport Dimensions place a strong focus on customer centrism and hospitality in their business, these are key values of our commercial strategy for the new terminal. As partners we will jointly introduce a new lounge concept on a global level of lounge services to enhance the passenger experience. We welcome the commitment of the Collinson group to invest in Peru, and in the airport expansion project together with us.”, said Norbert Onkelbach, Chief Commercial Officer of Lima Airport Partners (LAP).

The concept behind this proposal draws inspiration from the rich cultural heritage of Peru, crafting a unique experience that pays tribute to Peruvian identity, a cherished attribute that is being incorporated into the architecture of the entire new airport terminal. The services to be provided will be at the forefront of the most modern VIP lounges worldwide, offering a range of buffets, live cooking, shower facilities, rest areas, family-friendly play zones, as well as private workspaces.

According to Gwilliam:“We will create an experience that feels authentic to the cultural heritage of Peru, and we hope guests will recognize as soon as they set foot in these lounges that they are enjoying a unique and modern experience that celebrates the Peruvian identity.”

This milestone reaffirms Lima Airport Partners' (LAP) commitment to providing exceptional experiences to travelers from around the world in the new Lima airport, in collaboration with dedicated strategic partners who will commence operations alongside the opening of the new terminal in 2025. It is important to note that the new passenger terminal is more than 50% complete, and there has been a significant effort by the entire airport community to ensure a seamless transition to the new operational phase.
