Press Release: Luggage theft

.From Lima Airport Partners, operator of Jorge Chavez International Airport, we regret what happened to the passengers who were affected by the theft of their luggage belongings.
Since we became aware of the case we have expressed our full willingness to collaborate in a timely manner with all relevant investigations in order to reach the clarification of these facts. Our Airport Security team will deliver all images and videos to the competent authorities to continue with the course of the investigations.
Also, we remind our passengers that in case of loss or removal of belongings from their luggage, they should contact the airline responsible for the transport and report the incident immediately to the police.
According to the national and international regulations in force applicable to Peru, the airline is responsible for the custody of the hold luggage, from its reception at the check-in counter at the point of origin until the moment it is delivered at the destination to the passengers.
