As regards the state of progress of the procedures to remove the crashed aircraft from the runway of Jorge Chávez International Airport, LAP informs the following:


1) We reiterate our deepest condolences for the loss of the lives of our two fellow firefighters. And we are closely monitoring the evolution of the health condition of our third injured aeronautical firefighter.

2) At this moment, we are collaborating with the Comisión Investigadora de Accidentes de Aviación (Aviation Accident Investigation Commission -CIAA) of the @MTC_GobPeru, a body in charge of determining the causes of the accident; and with the Government Attorney General’s Office of #Callao that already started the corresponding investigations.

3) The removal of all the elements of the accident, including the aircraft, is being carried out. In parallel, we are inspecting the operation of the runway. We hope to complete these actions to resume operations as soon as possible.
